Swiss higher education law:
Together with the cantons, the federal government ensures the coordination, quality
and competitiveness of the higher education sector throughout Switzerland.
Higher education institutions within the meaning of this Act are:
a. the universities: the cantonal universities and the Federal Institutes of Technology (ETH);
b. the universities of applied sciences and the universities of teacher education.
University law:
Admission to studies. Contestation of examination law decisions. Law on educational grants.
Higher education law ( universities of applied sciences – business schools – vocational schools – KV ).
In Switzerland, all universities, both cantonal and technical universities, universities of applied sciences and universities of teacher education are considered higher education institutions.
